Create a Family or Group Theme
If you go trick-or-treating as a family or with a close group of friends, a group costume is an easy way to get several ideas from one theme. Many popular children’s books have several characters with simple yet distinctive outfits that are easy to turn into Halloween costumes. This theme is a great compromise for kids who are excited to dress up and grown-ups who aren’t that into costumes but want to ensure their kids have a good time.
Upcycle Last Year’s Costumes
Making costumes from scratch for your kids is always a good idea in theory, but you don’t always have the time or the means to build new costumes for everyone every year.
